How are you,
really?
Free, confidential support for media professionals in Aotearoa New Zealand
We're here when you're ready to reach out.
We get how difficult it can be working in Aotearoa’s fast-paced and ever-changing media landscape. This is why our team of media chaplains offer free and confidential off-air support for the media.
Our team of chaplains are based all around Aotearoa. All our chaplains have media experience and chaplaincy training. What's more, they are our media’s biggest cheerleaders. They love what you do.

“Chaplaincy is not counselling, but we believe there’s something significant that happens when we’re really heard by another human being.”
What can I expect from a chaplaincy conversation?
You can expect to be listened to and heard. That may sound simple, but how often do you feel like you’re really being listened to on the issues of life that you truly want to talk about, and how often do you feel like the other person gets it?
We hope that everyone walks away feeling like they’re not alone and that they may have even found some equilibrium through being able to share freely.
“I first reached out to Media Chaplaincy when I was only less than a year into my journalism career. I spent most of that year living in stress, and I had no idea where it was coming from (because I’m not working on hardcore investigations and being threatened, right?).
But when I finally decided to talk to Media Chaplaincy, our conversation made me feel so heard, and it helped me understand what I was going through. Journalism is a weird field that most people won’t understand, but Media Chaplaincy gets it. ”
Let’s grab a coffee and connect you with a chaplain.
There’s no pressure or obligation - and the coffee is on us.
