This year asked a lot of everyone. As we look back, we’re filled with gratitude: for the people we met, the stories we were entrusted with, and the moments that reminded us why Media Chaplaincy exists.

In the fast-paced world of 24/7 news and headlines, it can be difficult to make space to be still since the flow of it is constant and it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking we have to keep up with it at all times. Yet we need stillness for the good of our body, mind, and spirit. We are humans, not news machines. 

Independent not-for-profit Media Chaplaincy NZ is today launching its inaugural Aotearoa Media Wellbeing (AMW) Survey, as it celebrates a decade of offering free and confidential support to New Zealand’s media industry.

The survey, which seeks to better understand the experiences of media professionals across the country, asks participants about work pressures, job satisfaction, their workplace culture & support structures, and how they maintain work-life balance & cope with career challenges.
